Jurassic Quest Drive-Thru Experience at the Rose Bowl

The Jurassic Quest Dinosaur experience has arrived in California. This time, however, the show is a COVID-safe Drive-Thru experience taking place outdoors, near the main entrance of the Pasadena Rose Bowl. We saw the very popular T. Rex, Triceratops and and over 70 life-like animatronic dinosaurs displayed throughout the parking lot area.

My Dinosaur loving sons woke up bright and early to attend the media preview on Friday. They enjoyed the dinosaurs displayed throughout the parking lot area although it was clear that an exhibition such as this one, would be best suited indoors.

A spectator can’t help but notice extension cords, bright cones, industrial containers and other equipment that would have otherwise been hidden inside an exhibit hall (perhaps the tour has a different feel at night). Plus, we felt this gorgeous & ginormous ancient shark should not have been laying on pavement!

Still, the show is well organized and the dinosaurs are very nicely elaborated. They look realistic and sound realistic. In collaboration with leading paleontologists, each dinosaur has been painstakingly replicated in every detail. I mean, these Dinos honestly merit placement at some type of Dinosaur theme park.

We took advantage of the audio tour which is set-up so that passengers can learn about the Dinosaurs as you drive your way through the tour. The audio tour is actually very informative!

My favorite moment was when Toby kept humming the Jurassic Park theme song and Benny kept getting mad at him because the humming wasn’t letting him listen to the audio.

Jurassic Quest will remain in Pasadena through January 31. Afterwards, it it will be moved to Costa Mesa and the Pomona Fairplex in February. Masks are required. Tickets are $49 per vehicle and I believe there are still a few tickets left for the Pasadena experience. www.JurassicQuest.com
