What sets Mommy In Los Angeles Magazine apart from other publications is that we focus on highlighting, validating and empowering the women raising the next generation of Angelenos.

While we offer stories about things to do in L.A. with kids, that’s certainly not our focus. We aim at sharing stories about real Los Angeles moms. We look for a local mom angle in everything we cover.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anabel Marquez.

Anabel, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Born in East Los Angeles and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, my mom and dad thought it would be a good idea to move us to Ventura County when I became a teenager.

Today, Disney Parks officially announced 12 new members to the 2017 Disney Parks Moms Panel. Selected from thousands of applicants, the 12 will join 19 returning panelists to be part of the tenth annual Panel of dedicated and diverse Disney-loving parents who help guests plan and get the most out of their next Disney vacation.

Covering the movers, the makers, the shakers and the doers, meet the most inspiring women in LA doing amazing things while juggling motherhood. I was so inspired by Mommy in LA Magazine founder, Anabel Marquez, and how one crazy moment of motherhood led her to starting Mommy in LA magazine.

This episode of the KORE Women Podcast features Anabel Marquez, Founder and Editor of Mommy In Los Angeles® Magazine. She has developed a hyperlocal online publication with an annual print edition. She truly believes in “the importance of motherhood and not just the aspect of raising children in this fast-growing city, but the aspect of giving life to your self-identity.” You absolutely want to hear about her journey and what she has to say!!!

Whether she’s writing a list of tips for moving house with a toddler, or breaking news about a cool new child care facility, Anabel does indeed tell local moms about plenty of things that will help them survive in this town. But, what I love most about the blog is that she always seems to have the inside scoop on fun, interesting, family-friendly attractions.

Anabel is a career woman with a government job, magazine founder & editor and a PR for a few companies. But the most important thing of all is that she is a mother to two little boys and a happily married woman!
